Audition Packets

OYCE believes that no student shall be turned away because of ability. To better serve our members we do ask for a short benchmark audition so that we may set our members up for success. Benchmark auditions will be done in the first rehearsal of the year to place your student in the most optimal part of that ensemble.

Certain ensembles do require auditions due to the limitations of the ensemble. These ensembles include:

OYCE Jazz Ensemble Two led by Daniel Maldonado

OYCE Jazz Ensemble One led by Jesus Lopez

These auditions help us decide where students are best placed based on numerous factors.

The alumni big band of the Orlando Youth Chamber Ensembles (OYCE), directed by Santiago Parra-Romero. Comprising talented musicians who have graduated from their youth ensembles and are pursuing various career paths, the group is renowned for its energetic performances and versatile excellence. Josephine Swing blends classic and contemporary big band jazz, providing a platform for these musicians to showcase their skills and creativity while delivering impressive and memorable musical experiences.

Members are selected based on a per needed basis.
