When: Thursdays from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Position Overview:
The Orlando Youth Chamber Ensembles is seeking a motivated and experienced Flute Choir Ensemble Director to lead our flute ensemble. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flute pedagogy and a passion for working with young musicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly rehearsals of the flute choir.
- Select appropriate flute chamber music for rehearsals and performances.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student growth.
- Assist in recruiting students for the program in collaboration with the current program.
- Collaborate with the Orlando Youth Chamber Ensemble Administration and Executive team for support and resources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verified teaching experience with young musicians.
- Preferred degree in Music Education.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships within the program.

When:Fridays from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Position Overview:
The Orlando Youth Chamber Ensembles is seeking a motivated and experienced jazz educator to lead our Jazz Ensemble 2. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jazz pedagogy and a strong understanding with working with young jazz musicians, sometimes new doublers/secondary instrument players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly rehearsals of Jazz Ensemble 2.
- Select appropriate jazz ensemble music for rehearsals and performances.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student growth.
- Occasionally sit in/assist with jazz combos/contemporary/salsa music.
- Assist in recruiting students for the program and assist with future development/advancement to select ensembles.
- Collaborate with the Orlando Youth Chamber Ensemble Administration and Executive team for support and resources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verified teaching experience with young musicians.
- Preferred degree in Music Education.
- Experience with jazz music; with a focus on Big Band, Latin, and Blues
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships within the program.
