Qualifications
Administrative
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or higher); additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Gmail, in particular) is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Maintain contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Take rehearsal attendance
- Maintain and update our website
- Attend concerts and set up information booth
- Participate in recruiting events
Instructional
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or higher); additional qualification as such as Honor Band selections (ie. All-State, All-County) will be a plus
- Be studying music, or have equivalent performance experience
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Responsibilities
- Attend All rehearsals of your applied instrument
- Assist in the set up, and tear down rehearsal location
- Participate in recruiting events
- Sit in and perform with our ensembles
- Assist in the running of rehearsals
- Hold smaller sectionals and individual instruction if needed
- Pass out music before, and/or during rehearsals
- Attend community outreach (i.e school sectional, instrument tryouts, solo and ensemble prep)
- Attend all of our concerts and assist in the logistical aspects of the concert
