Orlando Youth Horn Choir

The Orlando Youth Horn Choir or the “OYHC” is an ensemble made up exclusively of high school and middle school horn players from the Central Florida area. The horn has one of the widest ranges of all the instruments found in the orchestra, allowing for horn choir arrangements to capture the full spectrum of sound typically heard in orchestras, brass bands, and wind ensembles. Students in the OYHC will be exposed to a variety of musical styles, acquainted to musical roles not typically found in concert band music, challenged with fantastic transcriptions and original works written for horn ensembles, and instructed under some of the best horn teachers and performers in the Central Florida area. The Orlando Youth Horn Choir is under the direction of Gavin Hall.
