Director - Orlando Youth Low Brass Ensemble 

Juwan Murphy is currently the director of bands and orchestra at Union Park Middle School. There he serves as the facilitator of a growing middle school program and as a part time track coach! In addition, he serves on the staff of several marching bands in the Orlando area as well as Heat Wave Drum and Bugle Corps.

A recent graduate from the University of Central Florida he received both a bachelor’s degree in music education, and a bachelor’s in music performance with a focus on classical trombone. While in college he has participated in many different instrumental ensembles including the symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, and the University jazz band, group reaching the top of the jazz charts. He also participated in the UCF Marching Knights in which he served as a leader and went on to march Carolina Crown for two years.

Juwan enjoys playing as a member of the Brass Band of Central Florida and teaching trombone lessons.  He is very excited to begin working with the group in the coming season.
